and I'm a black rainbow

with every change in hair color comes a period of moderation in what regards my sartorial choices and also a period of adjustment. it's something like an actor getting into character. I want to keep everything kind of low key and draw the focus to the hair. I am a Leo after all and I take great pride in my mane. I love wearing black and I never realized before how good it looks against lighter hair.

it seems it's written, but we can't read between the lines

it should come as no surprise that I change my hair color quite frequently. those of you who follow me on instagram (@skinny_buddda) are already au courant with my new do. when I was younger the change was mostly driven by the fact that I was getting bored easily. I would choose colors on a whim and move to the next with no hesitation or regrets. later on, it became a matter of what colors and hairstyles looked good on me and suited my personality. now it's all about exploring the options out there. the possibilities are endless, but for now I decided to try something less shocking for the others (trust me, it was either this or rainbow hair) but totally out of my comfort zone.

I know if been kind of scarce with words lately and I am going to rectify that. today is an off day so I am anxious to get out of the house as soon as possible and enjoy this glorious weather. the strangest thing happened while I was prancing around at the mall last weekend wearing this dress. a lady came up to me saying she had the exact same dress. I said mine was thrifted and had it for years and she replied that so was hers. what are the chances? the main reason I go thrift shopping is because I know I won't be seeing the same garment on the streets. but I guess you never know.

my friends at Tiramisu alle fragole invited me recently to check out their new arrivals and I was instantly drawn to this little red dress. the beautiful chain details on the shoulders and the metal cinch in the waist are all the accessories you need for a polished day look. but of course, I couldn't help myself and added the necklace too.

I cannot believe it's already time for sandals. though I won't give up wearing stockings just yet, it was refreshing to be able to walk around in this getup on Sunday. the heat is not unbearable so I can still wear lots of black, so it's basically the perfect weather. I accessorized my outfit with golden details to give it a more sophisticated and polished look.
